These are personal items the couple must bring on the day of the wedding ceremony. The Devaswom ticket covers the priest, Thulasi Mala and musicians — but not these personal items.

Section 4 — Municipal Marriage Registration (After Temple Ceremony)

Common Mistakes to Avoid
- ❌ Forgetting the Thali: Many families in the excitement of the morning forget the Thali. This is the most common — and most stressful — mistake. Keep it in a dedicated pouch the night before the wedding.
- ❌ Not collecting the temple marriage certificate: After the ceremony, families often leave quickly without collecting the certificate from the temple. You need this for legal registration. Assign one family member specifically for this task.
- ❌ Wrong dress code: Arriving in western attire means you will not be permitted into the mandapam. No exceptions. Prepare traditional Kerala attire the night before.
- ❌ Not bringing Nakshatram details: The Devaswom counter requires the Nakshatram of both bride and groom for the enrollment. Confirm with your family astrologer before visiting.
